I wear it to work (I'm a teacher) and I can do everything I need to do with the kids and still look professional.

Try it on top of some slim fix pixie leggings (they will smooth out your tummy area and are completely opaque,they are my go to when I need some smoothing out:) I have like 10 pair) and wear it as a sweater top. But I think with the pixie pants you can pull it down more to wear it as it is a dress. Hope this helps. You are beautiful and thanks for the honest review AND pic.

It is very thick and warm, but its also ABSOLUTELY TINY. The waist especially runs VERY Small, and it is shorter than I would like. I wear between a size 5 and 6, sometimes 6's are too big, sometimes 5's fit perfectly, and sometimes 5's are too tight & sometimes 6's are just right. I got this in a 6, and I am pretty equally plus size in all directions, big hips (around 70 inches I think?), big bust (at least 48 H), big belly, but still smaller waist than my bust and hips, but this dress was sooooo tight around my stomach, like it was ridiculous, I can't wear it out, it looks like it is two sizes too small for me, I could barely get it on, and it barely covers my bottom. It runs soooo tiny y'all. All over. But esp in the waist. Its so ridiculous its riDONKulous. SIZE UP y'all. I got this in the higher end of my size range, and it was soooooo small and tight, like beyond the fact that it looks like it could be body con, its just SMALL. And right afterwards I ordered some stuff in size 6 that fit very well, AND a couple days ago I fit into a size 5 dress and size 6 leggings from last winter that both still look great on me, so its not that I've suddenly sized out of 5's and 6's at Torrid. This dress is just MINISCULE. SIZE UP. However, upon putting it on for the picture I am again taken by how warm and cozy the material is, it seems well made, material somewhat thinner than I would like, but the inside part against your skin is very soft. Mainly I think I'm just annoyed with how tight this is at the waist, its less of a shift dress and more body con. If you have a big belly and don't mind showing it off that's fine, this is the dress for you, but its just much smaller than I would have liked, and I frequently wear high waisted shorts or shortalls with midriff tops and bandeaus in the summer so normally I don't mind showing off my belly, but for some reason I just feel like this is not flattering, but you be the judge!
